Q: Do I have to be flexible to do yoga?

Svaroopa Yoga is for every body. Yoga classes will help you to become more flexible, no matter what your starting point is. It’s not about how far you can bend, but rather about opening your body and quieting your mind to discover the deeper dimensions of your being.

Q: What do you do in a yoga class?

The class begins with a guided relaxation, including gentle breathing exercises. Then you’ll be guided through a series of postures to move your spine, encourage release of tight muscles, and focus your mind. We then close with another lying-down guided relaxation.

Q: What do I wear to a yoga class?

Wear loose, comfortable clothing such as leggings, sweats, and a T-shirt. Avoid clothes that are constricting, like jeans. Socks are optional. Jewelry should be kept to the minimum or avoided at all if possible.

Q: Why do you do private sessions?

Private yoga session is a great way to meet your individual needs for body-mind health, relaxation and stress management. You learn to meet the physical needs of your unique body and mind at your own pace and receive undivided attention. Private session is wonderful for beginners and people who are not comfortable in group settings.
